We went for the MB Marathon and had a wonderful experience. We had some of the nicest employees assist us with everything from check in to check out. They were all so friendly and helpful even when we didn’t ask such as having full hands and pressing the elevator button before we got there. I can’t recommend this place enough and just a tip if you have waitstaff wait on you always tip! We got there the first day and got to order off the menu in the little restaurant with coupons. After the race we went back to the restaurant to redeem our coupons and found out overnight they changed to complimentary buffet since people weren’t tipping the waitstaff. We got our breakfast on Sat. and Sun. in the restaurant and we left good tips too. Just FYI the food and the service in the restaurant were to

Everything was perfect! Newly renovated hotel with beautifully simple rooms. Pristinely clean, extremely friendly staff, front row parking. Fantastic option for off season get aways. Amanda in The Palm & Pebble (attached dining) was phenomenal. She was so welcoming and friendly, great recommendations and the chef even came out for us to give our compliments. The breakfast burritos and cinnamon roll were to die for. Will stay again!

Positive: Location was great. You are right in the middle of everything. It was always very quiet. The desk staff were all friendly and courteous. Extremely clean. Negative: It is definitely “dated.” There was a strong musty smell in the hallway. Wish there was an ice machine in each building. It was impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom.

We had a great stay at voco The Shelby in Myrtle Beach! The property was very well kept, clean, and had a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Brittany at the front desk was especially helpful — she made check-in smooth and welcoming, and even took the time to tell us about fun things to do in the area. After Brittany checked us in last night, we headed straight to the restaurant on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the vibe. It had a relaxed but upbeat atmosphere, and everything we ordered was delicious. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with absolutely amazing sunset views. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day out. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again!

The oceanfront location is a huge win—easy beach access and beautiful views that never get old. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out, which made the experience even better. Amenities like the pool area and on-site dining added convenience without feeling crowded or chaotic. Overall, The Shelby strikes a great balance between relaxed beach vibes and polished comfort. I’d absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach.
