Vintage Inn at The Country Squire

Love the courtyard and restaurant. Room was old and dusty and tv does not get good signal. Ice is in sour cream buckets, in the freezer in the hallway, it's sanitary in bags which is nice but funny. I think the moldy AC unit was making us cough all night which was not nice, but it was super cold. Bed was very rickety but okay for my wife and I. Water is hot. Wooden shutters in the room are cool. We really enjoyed walking the vineyard and lighted gazebo at night. Despite it needing an update we will probably go again.

We celebrated my birthday here with the overnight package. Wine tasting with Rob was very informative and entertaining. Dinner was fabulous with Jeanie, our server who was a delight. Quality food and ample portions. The one downside was the bed in our room! Lumpy, very squeaky and downright uncomfortable! There were holes in the sheets! The beds need upgrading! I would return for dinner but not stay overnight!!

The restaurant experience was lovely. The atmosphere, ambiance, food, and service was excellent. Our room reflected the Scottish/Irish theme which we loved. The rooms are older, but it was clean. The TV has limited channels, but it was tolerable. We enjoyed our one night stay.

To say they are a good restaurant or good hoteliers would be doing them a disservice. These are good people. The location is beautiful The scenery is wonderful the rooms are elegant but the service is immaculate. You can tell they care about what they do. They also had the best filet mignon I've had in years.

This place was really cool. Stopped here as a Harvest Host stop on the way to Wilmington. The New York strip steak and the stuffed potato was delicious. We also really enjoyed the wine tasting. Definitely coming back and spending a night in the Inn.
