Villa Elegante

Villa Elegante was PERFECT for our family (parents and 2 teenagers)! It was very easy to get to and our unit had an attached garage, which was great! The unit was bigger than expected, with comfortable furniture. There were two small courtyards for dining outside and enjoying a glass of California wine. We went when the weather was AMAZING and were able to leave doors open when we were home. There is a nice (somewhat pricey) farmer’s market/grocery store across the street, which made picking up some staples on our first night easy peasy. Our boys enjoyed the outdoor workout equipment adjacent to the ballpark across the street every day we were there. We walked EVERYWHERE, even down to Brophy Bros. at the Santa Barbara harbor. Villa Elegante changed it’s front yard landscaping. It now features drought resistant plants instead of water thirsty lawn. See photo of the succulent growing in front of the sign for the property. The succulent plant was in bloom when we walked by in May 2019. Villa Elegante is in walking distance to the Santa Barbara Zoo.

My small family stayed in the Anacapa villa for an extended weekend and had an excellent experience. The location of Villa Elegante can't be beat. Just steps away from the beach and very close to all of the wonderful Santa Barbara attractions. Our villa was beautiful with two large bedrooms and en suite bathrooms, a large livingroom with fireplace that we used every morning and a great kitchen with everything you need (especially the coffee maker!). The villa is beautifully appointed. We ate in a variety of meals and it was great that there is a grocery store right across the street. Having a private garage made everything feel very private. We've stayed in Santa Barbara almost yearly for about 21 years and this our first time at the Villa Elegante. Lovely in so many ways. ||||The ocean views from the Santa Cruz unit were easily viewed. The unit was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. ||||Large and well equipped kitchen. Only staples were salt, pepper, and sugar so bring what you need to cook with. All utensils were provided, plentiful place settings, pots, serving bowls, etc. We really lacked for nothing there and we a big cookers. The natural gas range was as we hoped and what we base most of our rentals on - we don't care for electric cooking. ||||They had a reverse osmosis water system so we didn't have to buy a bunch of water - I drink about 3 liters a day. I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Elegante this past month and Mel and Tim Werner are excellent hosts!||||The location is perfect with the beach and a grocery store right across the street and easy access to the 101. There is plenty to do in the area that is within walking distance such as the Zoo, playgrounds and volleyball courts. There are also running/walking paths basically right at your front door. In addition, State Street is a short drive (5 minutes) for shopping and dining or Stearns Wharf is a short 15 minute walk along the beachfront, who can beat that? East Beach is also very close and they even supply beach chairs and towels!||||The units are very nice and well appointed with washer and dryers for extended stays. ||||I highly recommend VIlla Elegante if you are staying in
