La Playa Inn

This was a very pleasant stay, would definitely recommend. The rooms were clean, hotel has beautiful Spanish architecture and is well maintained, the staff is very kind and accommodating. Rodolfo, from front desk, was particularly excellent. After checking out, we forgot something in our room and Rodolfo contacted us promptly and even offered to facilitate the delivery of our item. The property is walking distance fromthe beach. There is really nothing negative to say. There is no pool but we were ok with it.

Friendly, welcoming staff at this small boutique inn. Great location, a short walk to the oceanfront. Rooms were clean and nicely furnished. Communal areas had attractive tiled decor, pretty courtyard to enjoy breakfast. Secure parking. Highly recommended for a short stay in Santa Barbara.

The Inn is conveniently located and there are free parking space for in-house guests. The room is large with conformable bed. Free coffee offered at the front desk added a special touch. Good place tp stay.

A block and a half from the beach, this is a clean place with spacious, modern rooms. Bathroom has a walk-in shower wirh ample hot water. A lot of outdoor sitting areas, and some of the lower floor appear to have private patio areas. One caution for thise not inclined to walk, there is limited restaurant selection in the vicinity and State Street is a half mile. The neighborhood is safe and made up of many other hotels. I'll definitely stay here again, enjoyed my stay!

La Playa Inn is a standout gem — a young boutique hotel (around 5 years old), completely rebuilt in beautiful Spanish style and designed with impressive attention to detail. Every element feels carefully selected and thoughtfully executed. Our room with a king-size bed and balcony featured a warm wood-like floor, excellent lighting, a beautifully designed bathroom, a large wardrobe, and a spacious desk that comfortably fit two laptops. The minibar fridge and small coffee maker were convenient, and despite the central location, our room facing the back was absolutely quiet — perfect for relaxing and working. The location is outstanding: just a 5–8 minute walk to the harbor and the beach, with plenty of restaurants nearby and the popular State Street also within walking distance. Breakfas
