Villa de San Rafael

I messaged Kylee from their website looking to see if the dates I was looking at booking were available. She let me know that the calendar doesn’t open up on future dates until 60 days or something but asked me about my dates, what I was renting for, etc. The communication was fine for a couple of days with no issues. But the email communication eventually slowed so I asked if we could just get on the phone to talk details. She sent me a phone number to call her on but then within the next 3 weeks she never responded to any texts or calls or the follow up emails I sent. It’s been over a month and I haven’t heard a peep and for a February booking. This place looks so beautiful and I was looking forward to staying, but was forced to look elsewhere which is disappointing. Update 12/31: Added

I found this venue on Airbnb while searching for potential vow renewal/ family and friend get together. I was upfront right away about the number of people who would be staying and that we would be hosting an intimate vow renewal/ dinner. Upon learning that I had an “event”, a vow renewal, the owner tacked on an extra 1000 fee. Nothing extra was added on my end (guests etc) NOR on their end. This is ludicrous to me. I’m sure the venue is gorgeous but the owners will try their hardest to capitalize on you and your event. I would look elsewhere.

Such a stunning property for a casual stay or to hold events. Kylie is wonderful to speak with and very responsive. Booking for our wedding was a breeze. One less stressful process in our wedding planning, which we are grateful for.

Stunning.. just unbelievably stunning ! I drove up to the iron gates and peered through to see what looked like a dream. The villa is majestic with its balconies and sprawling ivy. I felt like I was entering a movie set with all the ornate features. The Villa de San Rafael would provide an atmosphere for a magical fairytale wedding with its gorgeous courtyard and fountains. I will most definitely schedule another stay here at the Villa for our next Albuquerque vacation.

My husband and I got married at the Villa in June. Everything was fantastic! Kat Bloom, the event coordinator was EXTREMELY accommodating, kind and helped us make our day perfect! If you are looking for a magical place to get married I highly recommend reaching out to Kat because I could not have asked for a more beautiful venue! 10/10
