Viking Motel

Great rooms, some with balconies with ocean right in front of them.( that's what I had). Kitchenettes with apartment size stoves and refrigerators. Rooms are smoke free but you can smoke on the balcony. Pet friendly, great staff. My recommendation, just a few blocks from one of the amusement parks and the Pier. Very reasonably priced off season.

Last minute decision after leaving a 250 dollar a night resort a mile from this hotel. I paid 82 dollars taxes and everything included. I had booked the resort for my 17 year old daughter’s birthday and took 6 family members including my 7 year old and 4 month old grandson. We needed safety, space and cleanliness. Second was amenities and fun! The Viking was like I said a mile maybe less so the location far as safety and distance to attractions was bout the same. No parking deck but lot across the street. It’s oceanfront and very close it’s beautiful. The rooms themselves are not oceanfront because it’s a two story smaller building and is almost hard to notice even over the sand dunes. The pool was nice size with a small baby pool. All older brick but deep end was refreshing! Now the room

Positive: "" Negative: The hotel is poorly managed by unprofessional people. The staff was rude. When I advised the staff that the smoke alarm was chirpping, they did nothing to correct it. The alarm chirped all night long.

This motel has been around for a long time, they have new management and staff, my experience was outstanding. The room was clean and bug- free, they are taking out the old carpet and installing hardwood floors. The A/C units didn't smell musty and dirty, The staff and management went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. Kudos to you all.

Excellent location. Rooms are decent for what you pay. The only thing that bothered me, was the strange (homeless people) that hung around there. Made me a little uneasy about having my kids there. Staff was super friendly!! I liked how the cleaning crew would just hang a bag of towels, toilet paper and essentials on your door instead of entering your room. Parking wasn't to bad even if you had to park across the street. The a/c in my room would run you out!! It worked very good. So did my other room. It's beside a fancier hotel. So you do the math, lol. It was worth the cheaper price. I enjoyed my visit, I come every year. I probably would stay again, if I could get the same rooms. No carpet, hard floors were excellent in my rooms.
