Victorian Inn Beatrice

Nice enough place. Their soap is awful at best. I bought my own because of it. Room was pretty good. For the online price there was very little room for complaints. Good location with other businesses close to it.

Positive: Staff was nice. Good room size for the family. Pool area clean and fun for the kids. Negative: Breakfast experience was poor. No ice available, utensil containers empty, the attendants need to keep the area clean and stocked. Waffle dispenser broke, no batter available, other food items empty. Lobby area uncomfortably hot, no A/C??

I was not impressed in the slightest. Took forever to check in. The cost was more that advertised when I booked online. I was assigned a room that was "non smoking," yet it reaked of cigarettes covered up with cleaning chemicals. The bathroom sink was dirty, the handles were filthy covered in grime and clearly not cleaned often. The shower racks were coming out of the wall not well maintained. The Bed was as comfortable as sleeping on metallic springs, bed coverings made me itch, and pillows were terrible. I woke up out of discomfort several times throughout the night, and was not rested at all when I woke up in the morning. The breakfast waffle mix had the taste of sourdough but was not, so most likely of an indeterminate age, the bananas and bagels were fresh however, there wasn't

Breakfast looks pretty, but very stale. Orange juice is tang, hot breakfast is crock pot with gravy and 3 pretty hard biscuits. Rooms were big, shower had power.

Im not sure why I have seen such negative reviews about this property. Our stay here has been an absolute delight, the room is so spacious and well furnished. Very clean inside the room and in the halls. They have nice breakfast selection with reasonable hours for early risers or late sleepers. The pool was clean and warm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will be returning for my future needs and I highly recommend this motel to anyone.
