My Place Hotel-Beatrice, NE

Excellent stay – outstanding service We had a wonderful stay at My Place Hotel in Beatrice, NE. David at check-in was absolutely phenomenal. He went above and beyond to welcome us, thoroughly explained the hotel, our room, and all of the amenities, and did so with genuine warmth and friendliness. His hospitality truly set the tone for our stay. He was an absolute treasure - professional, made us feel safe with the precautions in place like locking and monitoring front doors late at night, etc. The room itself was excellent—beautiful, clean, and very sanitary. We loved the thoughtful layout and amenities, including a spacious closet with a laundry basket, iron, hangers, and ironing board, as well as a valet cart for luggage. All was really great. However, I would suggest that every bathroom have a grab-bar installed in the tub/shower.||At my age, I use a cane, and it is difficult to get in and out of a tub/shower without something to hold on to. I suggest every room as many older travelers don't require a handicapped room but need the assistance. It will also protect the hotel chain from liabilities.

Rooms are big clean which my family liked. The in room kitchen is useless unless you bring your own utensils, which most folks don't pack on vacation. There was nothing on the website that indicated this. We were planning on offsetting the cost by fixing breakfast in the room. I'm sure not all rooms are this way and I know mechanical issues happen but the ac didn't work in our room. Had it sit on 63 and we still were hot all night. I was told there was 24 hour complementary coffee in the lobby. When I went to get it there was no decaf. I'm not saying its a bad place to stay the staff was friendly but for the money we won't be staying here on our way home.

This motel had everything I expect and more. The room was spacious, modern, and clean. It had a beautiful kitchenette with a full size refrigerator and microwave. ||The staff was very accomodating. At check-in, the clerk gave us a ground floor room because we were bringing my wife's bicycle into the room with us. Although there were reasonably priced plates and bowls for sale at the front desk, the clerk loaned us some dinnerware for free so I could eat my restaurant leftovers. The computer desk was on rollers so I could pull it back and watch TV while I ate.||I don't usually leave reviews, but I really thought this motel was exceptional.
