Van Hook Territorial Inn

Location was about all I could give stars on. Worse experience and false advertising. I highly recommend staying somewhere other than this place. Rooms aren’t very clean and breakfast is just pretty much non existent when u would think at 6 and 630am there would be plenty. Won’t make this type of mistake again, very disappointed

The rooms were clean but just ok. The lady working there when we checked in couldn’t figure out how to get us working keys and instead of trying to fix the machine or call someone suggested we just leave our doors open when we left the motel. Pretty sure she was baked the whole time. The next day there was a different lady at the desk who had the same issue with the keys but quickly solved the issue by unplugging and plugging the keys machine back in. Breakfast was very low quality and would’ve been better if they just had cold stuff or nothing at all. Housekeepers were working while we checked in and were blocking off the ends of the hallways with their carts. Just felt like almost nobody on staff had even basic common sense. Never staying here again.

"The Lodge" are actually private log cabins - separate from the Inn. These cabins are beautiful inside & out. Fully furnished with kitchen essentials - coffee pot, toaster, microwave, etc. But NO dishes (or paper plates) , utensils, or coffee to use in the coffee pot. Walk-in shower - plenty of hot water. Both the air conditioning and heater worked well. The bedroom was a nice size but a night stand would have been appreciated. A continental breakfast was provided at the main Inn. Very light breakfast - not anything outstanding. Everything was removed once the breakfast hour was over. The Lodge provided "PRIVACY" if that's what your after . Otherwise, for the price difference I would suggest staying at the Inn which is also roomy and beautiful. Fantastic laundry facility on-site and

Stayed here after our tent broke in a storm, and it was so cozy! Staff are super friendly and breakfast was a smaller selection, but delicious. Room was clean, and we loved all the historical photos featured. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Stayed a week here while fishing the lake, and enjoyed the close proximity. Rooms were clean, staff were helpful (particularly Kim, who went above and beyond for everyone!), the premises were quiet, and the breakfast (though limited) was free.
