Utopia River Retreat

My friend and I enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable and very quiet amongst large trees. The backyard porch looked over a small creek with lovely wildness beyond it. And we could see lots of stars in the dark sky.

We visited the retreat for a wedding event and my crew stayed in The Fortress. The house itself was incredible and right behind was the beautiful Sabinal River. We had a great time watching a storm move in overnight from our front porch while watching other family enjoy the pool area. We climbed trees and even spotted wildlife! The hostess made sure the wedding team had what they needed and coordinated everything so well. We used the barn area both nights and was the perfect size for getting to know our new family. The smaller cabins on site looked so cozy if you're looking for a extended stay. I tip my hat to Utopia River Retreat. 10 out of 10 will recommend you stay and enjoy the Hill Country here! Keep in mind, the retreat does not control the water level or weather.

My husband and I decided to have our welcome dinner and wedding at URR just last weekend and the venue did not dissappoint. We stayed Wednesday-Monday, with our close friends and families staying Thurs-Sun. The cabins were clean, well stocked, and pet friendly so our 3 dogs were able to be a part of our special day. The cabins were cool and the beds were very comfortable. Nancy, our contact at the venue, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was communicative, thorough, and as involved as we wanted her to be. She treated all of us with kindness and respect, and truthfully we feel like shes a part of our family now! My wife and I had our wedding here recently and it turned out absolutely perfectly. Nancy was such a pleasure to work with and made our special day exquisite in every way. The value was unmatched. We were able to house our entire immediate family members onsite, which made it even more special. Would highly recommend this place for anything from a short getaway to a week long wedding.

May not be the best in the area but it had everything that we were looking for. Far enough off of the road that the constant roar of motorcycles was only in the distant background. Wonderful environment amongst large oak trees that supplied plenty of cool shady areas outside. Accommodations were just as mentioned. Great place for a group of bicyclist to start and finish epic bike rides.
