Ute Creek RV Park

Going from Monument Valley to Pueblo on Easter Sunday and couldn't find any campgrounds that were open along route 160. Even though they weren't open we decided to stop here & take a chance & call the # listed on the door and the owner answered and invited us in rented us a spot for the night with a Veteran discount no less. Would have to call this 5 star service especially on Easter Sunday when they weren't even officially open.

Ute Creek is one of those amazing hidden gems. I hesitate to give this information because I am truly afraid that if I share it with everyone, it will be hard to get a future reservation! First of all it's family run - and run well. It's clean. It's manicured. It's quiet. It's got a hidden creek that runs thru it that has the cleanest, clear water (has fish, too!). It has a nice big meadow that has picnic tables. It's off the beaten path, but only a couple blocks to the highway (not sure that makes any sense, but it is true!). Restaurants, Pizza, Convenience stores, and places of interest are very nearby. It is also near the base of 14,039ft Mt. Blanca. Elevation at the Park is about 7500', and it is at the entrance to the San Luis Valley. This info is just for you! Don't tell anyone else

I am grateful that I found this peaceful RV park. I stayed there for 3 months while working on the new addition to the school. Karen and Frosty are people who care about their park, their tenants and making sure that families have the best time while they stay. I will recommend this park to anyone who is looking for a long stay or who are just passing through.

Owners are very friendly and easygoing. Bathroom and laundry are pretty decent. Lot is far enough from the highway that you don't have traffic noise, and is enclosed by trees. If you want a whole lot of nature, a private campground is not for you--go public. But for what it is, this is a perfectly nice place. There's a park within walking distance.

We have stayed at Ute Creek RV Park several times. It’s a family owned, quaint, quiet place to stay. The Ute Creek runs along the side of the RV sites. It it as basic pull in, with just the rite services for the very reasonable prices.
