Up the Creek RV Camp

Our experience at Up the Creek Campground was deeply disappointing and frankly unacceptable due entirely to management behavior. While the location and natural setting of Up the Creek Campground are beautiful, the way guests are treated completely ruins the experience. During a period of cold weather, management decided to shut off the water to individual sites. This alone was understandable. What was not acceptable was how it was handled. At the time, I was actively outside filling the fresh water tank on my motor coach so my family could shower, especially because we were traveling with a young baby. I calmly stated that I was currently filling the tank so we would have water and that I would shut it off in about 10 mins when the tank was filled. The manager ignored me entirely, then es

Two couples, stayed in Sites 49 & 50 for one week. Very nice campground just outside of Pigeon Forge proper. |PROS|Very nice staff - enjoyeded talking to Chris several times; met Harry and talked to him briefly.|Very nice sites - good spacing, some privacy, very clean & tidy, well maintained. |Water pressure was adequate and no unpleasant taste. |Electric was metered through our 30A EMS; no errors were detected during our weeklong stay. |Nice concrete spring next to each site. |Fire ring at each site.|Easy access to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Wears Valley, Cades Cove, tourist activities, etc.|Small fenced dog play area.|The 'Deluxe Sites' had||CONS|None to speak of. ||+/-|No playground for kids. |No bathhouse. |There were a LOT of dogs. This is an RV park. There are no playgrounds, bathrooms, showers, or other buildings. But there is a nice little dog park. This is really just for RVs. It's very quiet here, just like I like it. It's very clean and well kept with plenty of shade trees. I didn't feel packed into a spot like some of the other places located nearby. Everyone that we have met was very nice.

Glad we found this place and there was availability when we wanted. Its very quiet, private but still very close to pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. Even better that the trolly transit picks up right in the campground. Going to definitely add this place to my future returns

Wonderful campground with large mostly shaded sites. It doesn't at all feel like you're just in a parking lot with minimal space like so many of the other campgrounds in the Pigeon Forge area. To have full hookups with lots of trees and two creeks is quite special.
