Two Mermaids Resort

My husband and I booked a room here for our 15th anniversary. The housekeeper had just finished cleaning our room and was very friendly and super helpful. The room was perfect for my husband and I. 500ft from the beach. The strip of beach behind the hotel was not crowded at all so we were able to enjoy the beach and even saw dolphins at sunset almost every day we were there! Everything you need is within walking distance. It was very quiet and clean. We will definitely be booking here in the future!

The only thing nice is it’s a short walk to the beach but other than that it was a terrible place to stay. Extension cord on the counter in the kitchen, woke up to cockroaches running across the kitchen counter, furniture falling apart, terrible beds, thick dust on things, not enough dishes for the 6 people we had staying for like a week. This place could be amazing because of where it’s located but it needs SO much work that they don’t seem willing to put into it. We stayed in October 2023

The pictures make it look nice. But it’s not clean. There is black mold in the bathroom all around the window and in the cracked tile. The amount of dust on the fans was terrible. Didn’t use any kitchen utensils the drawers and cupboards smelt like mildew. The door frame by the handle was so dirty. The walk way to the beach has a ton of small pinecones it’s impossible to not step on them. There was no extra towels. Sheets or blankets. We only stayed there because our normal place we stay is south beach condos which is wonderful was booked and we wanted something with beach access. We will never stay there again.

This review is for Unit 1. What a deplorable disgrace! | At $300/night, we expected cleanliness, at the very least. The BR carpet was filthy & stained, the a/c unit was riddled with mold, had only 1 luggage rack, & it had a very small dresser. The bathroom had a nasty rusty bobby pin stuck to the floor, rampant & thriving mold in the tub caulking & surrounding tiles & windowsill, cracked tiles under window, ancient shower knob riddled with mold, both towel bars have large areas of peeling finish exposing wood beneath, and a nasty looking jury-rigged piece of laminate around the wall-mounted faucet & knob. The kitchen has a sign taped above the stove stating "$50 fee for leaving dirty dishes" but a lot of dishes/pans stored in cabinets & shelves were dirty, the coffee maker was horribly en

The WORST place ever. The room was disgusting. I took a shower wearing my flip flops. The bed- horrible. The mattress was like a pullout couch. Almost went and slept in our vehicle the second night. Thank goodness we were only there 2 nights. Window unit struggled- had a box fan. Someone needs to put some money in this place and upgrade it- or just tear it down. The ONLY nice part about it was the close beach access. The beach however had seaweed all over it. Thought the county would have a raker come through to clean it up, they didn’t. Seaweed smelled bad. As a Floridian highly disappointed in the whole experience. This is was our first time to Treasure Island, and we wont go back again.
