Turkey Hollow Campground

Wonderful little campground for rent and overlanders... Don't come here with a travel trailer! The road down to the campsites is gravel, steep, and has two switchbacks. Power and water are available at poles located near the campsites, but not each site has its own supply. This place is pretty rustic, but if you're not into the state park vibe, this may be the place for you. I moto-camped and with all my gear coming down the hill was interesting. I don't think I'd come down the hill in my bagger as I doubt I'd make it back up. The owner seems to be a solid and squared away guy with a lovely family. Id definitely camp here again.

Owner is difficult to reach, cabins are difficult to find, and once you do find them the road makes them difficult to access. And once you do access them, theres nothing inside. I may as well have pitched a tent. Worst experience I have ever had in a "campground" EDIT: The response you read from the owner should tell you everything you need to know about this guy. He is extremely rude. I didn't even arrive in a car, so I don't know who he is ranting about, but it's clear that directions are not clear in this area. He took this to a personal level instead of acknowledging the downfalls of his location. Suggesting I should look into glamping, when I have pitched a tent on the side of the road that has offered a better experience than this. Not to mention that the side of the road is free!

Absolutely loved it here! We stayed this 4th of July weekend, to get away from the city fireworks & consistent noise for our small dog's sake. We REALLY enjoyed our time here. They've got porta potties, running water, outdoor, and exposed showers with hot water.. a big pond for swimming and fishing, which is super clean. A lot of people complain about the road & driveway getting down to the camp sites because it has 2 switchbacks.. but it's seriously nothing at all. If you know how to drive, you literally have nothing to worry about it's not a dramatic turn or drop, it's not a steep hill . They actually did a great job making the driveway as easy as possible for those of you that cannot drive 😂 the cows are quiet, don't smell, and super cute, we saw a few calves that were born earlier this

Beautiful property. My scout troop stayed in their group area and it was perfect. They have porta potties, water, and electric. Mad for a great weekend!

Update fall 2024... the site is just as nice with some additions. There is power poles and what appears to be an additional water spigot. The road from the opposite direction of SR62 is in fact paved, but one should be aware that there are steep hills and it was hard to get up them with a fully loaded bike. I was the only one there and there were no raccoons present. The price to stay is higher then 2020, but still very reasonable and you can use Hipcamp to pay now if you like. Original summer 2020.... Turkey Hollow is a very nice primitive campground with all you need if you are reasonably self sufficient. There is a water tap with good water and a Porta John outhouse. The location has a wonderful set of views from the hollow up to the road. The road is pretty rough getting there
