Great camp, no pay small creek lots of room 20 plus spots plus lots of off to the sides spots. The bathroom was clean and stocked. Went for mushrooms and was disappointed cause there is still 3 feet of snow in June 2023. Had lots of fun with the dogs and bbq. I'll go again.

This campground is located in logging country and as such, access with an RV is no problem. Sites are quite spacious but the campground has seen its better days, it’s a bit rundown. But on the flip side, it is a no fee campground. Trout creek runs through the campground and it is loaded with small, hungry McCloud River Redband Trout. It’s difficult to fish due to all the willows and fallen logs, but they’re in there. Not too far from Mount Shasta.

Camped here for about 12 years straight in the late 70s and 80s prior to it being sold to USFS. Back when Andy and Milly Lakey owned it and ran thier cattle there during the spring, summers. Planning to go back after 36 years. Had the best times fishing the creek for Redband trout from the beginning to end.

Very remote. Very run down. If you're not into semi-primitive camping, I would skip. It looks like the camp is open year round, it has one pit toilet as far as I could tell. There was no one there and the spots looked very spread out. I came up from the 15 to the 3 and it was paved until you have to turn off the road to the camp. You can most likely pull a good sized trailer through here as semi trucks also use this road and is in rather good shape for such use.
