Travelodge by Wyndham Roanoke

We were driving til we got tired and needed a place to sleep for a few hours. It was about 2:30am when we got to this place. The first room did not have a working shower. The second room they gave us, the door didn’t work to get in he said the batteries were probably dead. One thing to keep in mind is we had to walk around the building and up and down the stairs each time, it’s late there’s broken beer bottles everywhere and sketchy people fighting and lurking. Anyhow, the 3rd room had roaches scurry when I turned on the shower. When I attempted to get a refund on the spot after first room and overall vibe I was told they didn’t do refunds, after the roaches I demanded a refund and was told no again and to call for one Monday. I just called and was denied my refund because we pulled back t

Positive: "" Negative: I didn’t even check in. It was sketchy and there were 3 cops around the building and a guy asking for change. The staff was outside smoking and made me wait 5 minutes before even talking to anyone.

Another bad reviewed property that’s a Wyndham. I love this place! The rooms are clean, the staff is nice, it’s just a wonderful stop to stay for a couple nights. Good location. Great atmosphere. Great value. I used earplugs, so I don't know about noise. Amenities were also good. My stay was no shortage of good. Stay here, you won’t regret it. I promise!

Had to take my dog to the emergency vet until 3:30 AM, Proceeded to come to this hotel and already started off as a bad start when I had to say sir three times to wake him up. I then requested a room That was non-smoker as my asthma is really bad & on the bottom floor. I was not given a room on the second floor that was a smoker’s room. There was no sheets on the bed, No smoke detector And no trash cans. He then proceeded to go back downstairs and request for a room change. He told me to go check out another room and it had no working lights at all.. And then requested a refund and I was told “ We are a budget friendly hotel” I then stated back to him you should at least have working lights. After agreeing to giving me a refund, he told me I needed to go remake the bed as I tucked a little

Excellent customers service. Belal was super patient and curtious. After I change my mind twice, he redone all re resistration stuff and got me exactly what I wanted - the room with the view over the price that was paid for the stay, lol. As far as the room itself, you get what you pay for, nothing more. I've stayed in more updated and freshly smelling rooms for the same price in other areas, but I don't raise my expectations too high when I pay $52 all inclusive per night. Location was close to the highway, restaurants, and shops, but so as everything in Roanoke because of its size.
