Travelodge by Wyndham Red Wing

Worst Room I have ever seen in 50 years of being a traveling salesman. Opened the door saw it full of bugs and smelled like death. Mold around windows and in bathtub. My wife and I were going to a Craft Fair in Red Wing and we left the awful stinking place without staying. Unfortunately, I booked it through Hotels .com and did not opt for the cancellation. Bed looked like it was broken and pillows had definitely been used. Do yourself a favor and don't book here. The pictures online are not what it looks like. It is much worse. I contacted Wyndham and they don't seem to care what their properties look like. You DO NOT want to stay at this rundown pit of a motel.

DO NOT STAY HERE! By far the worst motel I've been too. Due to MEA weekend mist places were booked. This was the few options available. Our room was disgusting. Dead bugs. Stained towels. Mold. The AC was so loud, if you had that and the TV on, you might as well call each other on phone just so you can hear the person next to you. The free breakfast is a joke. Must be a fake picture cause the actual area was dark and tucked in a corner. Dare not eat anything, who knows when the last time it was cleaned. It's also located next to a correctional facility,

Positive: Nothing! Negative: A smelly, run-down and out of date dump. We left immediately after looking in the room. Pwew! We’re out $---, and Wyndham is out a reputation! Never again!

Don’t do it- had previously stayed here a few years ago and it was questionable but it’s worse. Entry door is very thin and looked as if someone tried breaking in. Only one chain lock for security. Upon entry it was a very putrid smell. Poorly patched and unpainted walls. Bathroom had mold and the tub appeared to be scraped and unsuccessfully re glazed. No hot water at the sink. Pieces of what was a baseboard heater remained hanging on the wall. Dresser drawers opened as you walked across the room. Beds had what we assumed plastic mattresses covers - too afraid to look under. The sheets actually appeared clean. Hard to believe Wyndham Corporation would allow this!

First off there are NOT bed bugs here, get a life people! The only reason I didn't give the room 5 stars is because our duvet cover had big holes in it. The bathroom was clean and fully stocked, towels, wash cloths, toilet paper everything. The fridge and microwave were newer and worked great and the TV had a clear picture. The bed, sooooo comfortable, please give it a chance yourself, and yes its " next to a prison " so what? Its a minimum security for low offending kids. No it's not a perfect place but they are fixing things, dont always trust the internet
