Travelodge by Wyndham Rapid City

The staff at this location is very friendly and helpful. The room is clean with all necessities utilities available. I forgot some essential item at the lodge due to leave in a hurry. And the staff was very responsible and accountable to contact me about the item. And made sure to mail them to me. I would definitely trust to stay with them, because the staffs are accountable and having your back.

The location is pretty nice and tucked away just off of a main road. The bedside lamps have usb-c and regular usb charge ports that do work, though they charge slowly, which is what you want when charging your phone overnight to preserve your battery lifespan. There was some plant material all over the bathroom sink, I had an ice cold shower due to no hot water, the wifi doesn't work, the 9 am "continental breakfast" ends at 845, and they put a $100 "deposit" on top of your booking if you book it online.

Positive: Absolutely horriblée Negative: The hotel manager that wanted to fist flight and still charge us until our card was suspended. Also give out room keys to people that weren't even on the room and that we barely even knew who ended up robbing us of a lot of our stuff.

I'll preface this by saying this was a terrible experience. When we arrived, I was told that there was an early check-in fee of $30.00 per room even though it was between 2:30-3:00 PM. We waited for regular check-in time to avoid this needless expense. When my dad booked these rooms several months ago, he stressed that one of the rooms needed to be handicap accessible with king or queen bed because he has had two knee replacements and a shoulder replacement, therefore he was in need of said room. The clerk that checked us in said that the only handicap accommodation he would receive was a parking place in front of the door to the room. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE!! One star is more than this place deserves! The photo of the 'nice room' is fraudulent--it's nothing like the photo! We traveled 150 miles to Rapid City for a family member who was going to have surgery. While the price was decent, the rooms were horrible. The front desk wanted us to pay an additional $20 if we checked in 1 hour early. The woman at the front desk wasn't at all personable. We finally got our rooms around 3ish. In room #135, the toilet seat was completely missing a bolt, the AC unit was held together with tape and the filter was filthy, and the TV worked when it wanted to.
