Travelodge by Wyndham Pecos

I stay at a lot of cheap hotels for work, but this is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. Check-in was smooth, and my room was spotless. Even from a good quality cheap hotel, I still expect some scuffing on the walls and water damage in the bathroom. At this hotel, however, I saw none of that. The room was almost spotless. All fixtures were clean, with some scratches, and the shower was a pristine white, where some yellowing is usually present in hotels at this price point. I was worried about hearing sound from the adjacent interstate. However, in my room, which was on the bottom floor about 3 quarters of the way up from the Southern most point of the hotel, I heard no sounds. Not even semi-truck's engine brakes. The rooms were clean and the bed was nice but I would not go there again. breakfast was only stale ceral and pre packaged mini cakes. location near interstate, so mostly truckers who only want to shower and sleep. The bath rooms were old out of date.

Positive: Cleanliness of room Negative: Got double charged. I check in and the gentleman asked fir card on file and says card numbers don't match and enters my debit card I noticed charge before checking out and u explain to the lady what happened and still issue isn't resolved

Perfect stop for my AZ to DFW TREK...USED it several times. North side of I-20.

There is so much trash under the beds, the showers have left over shampoo bottles, I accidentally knows the chair cushion off and crums were everywhere. The floor feels disgusting when walking on it. Plus this was my second room like this. Truly disappointed. Only good note was that the front desk was extremely nice.
