Travelodge by Wyndham Orlando / Heart of International Drive

We checked into the hotel and were initially greeted with decent service. However, once we entered our room, we were immediately overwhelmed by a very strong Clorox smell that was completely unbearable. We had rented the room only to take a short nap before attending the Orlando Magic basketball game that evening. Unfortunately, we were unable to stay in the room for more than 30 minutes. The chemical odor was so intense that we had to open the door just to breathe. I began experiencing breathing issues, my nose started to run, and both my husband and I developed persistent coughing and headaches in less than an hour. Due to these conditions, we checked out almost immediately after checking in. I informed the front desk staff of the issue, and the only solution offered was another room.

The hotel was nice, kinda sketchy though! I wanted to check in early but wasn’t able to which was unfortunate (I would’ve had to pay a fee) the staff was okay - seemed very bored, put off (not very welcoming or friendly just seemed very go go go! the office space was very small! not a large enough space for more than 2 people maybe 3 max to fit in the space without being behind the desk. I also wish they had more space to set our stuff down espesially when we are filling out paperwork, but the hotel room wasn’t bad, bed was comfy - the refrigerator was a nice touch and was very handy! I wish I wasn’t located near the stairs for safety reasons - because people would walk past the room but at the same time it was good incase of a serious emergency. I do want to touch up on the elevator...on

It’s a good location to stay for Universal Studios. Because we don’t have to stay all day in the hotel. The hotel is just 6$ by uber to go to Universal Studios. Compare with the price is okay, don’t expect anything from them. Cleanliness is the worst, we can’t walk without shoes in the room but bed sheets and towels are okay. They have 24/7 front desk but you have to call them because staff is not there.

Travelodge by Wyndham on International Drive… oh honey, buckle up. So the stay started cute. The staff smiled, the room looked freshly zhuzhed up, very “we tried to be modern on a budget.” But then you look down and—surprise—the floor is peeling like a bad sunburn. Love that for us. Then came the shower situation. For the first two days, the water pressure was giving “drizzle from a sad garden hose,” and the temperature was serving “Arctic plunge challenge.” Nothing like a cold, limp shower to remind you you’re alive. Breakfast? Technically free. Realistically… Walmart bakery aisle with a dream. If you like prepackaged pastries and fruit that tastes like it’s seen things, you’ll be thrilled. But the grand finale? Honestly would give it a 0 stars if able, when I got there, the TV and the phone didn't work. Instead of moving rooms, they sent maintenance up and was delayed over an hour. Fridge ended up not working well, didn't keep anything cold. Couldn't shower because there was a crack in the shower floor that when I stepped on, water came up through the crack. Still standing water is FULL of bacteria. Didn't shower for three days because of it. Dead roaches outside of the building. Didn't see any inside our room tho. No soap provided. Breakfast was only oatmeal and bananas and oranges. Warm milk and cereal because the fridge had a lock on it so the milk had been sitting out. Floors were so dirty we threw away our socks at the end of the stay. Staff was polite.
