Travelodge by Wyndham Mill Valley/Sausalito

Made a reservation online with free cancelation by 6pm the day of checkin and didn't have to pay until check in. Had to cancel due to family being sick. Noticed a charge on my credit card so called to ask why the charge occurred. They said they had no charges processing. I looked online again later and charge was still there. Disputed charge online and the response was a holding charge and that it would be returned in 3-7 business days as well as putting me on the "Do not rent" list. Was very nice and cordial to the young lady over the phone and had no issues. So it's a free cancelation sure, but you're blacklisted if you do so. Very impressive customer service I must say.

First, we asked for two queen beds. Got the handicap room that had one full bed and one twin bed. Then, the smell… You can tell someone smoked in every inch of this room. There’s two tv remotes. Only one works. Up to you to figure out what one. walls are dirty with I don’t even what to know with what. Bed is the most uncomfortable thing I’ve slept on in a while. The only thing that was okay is the bathroom had a walk in shower. They tried to make flowers out of the tissue on the bathroom but they decided to use WATER to keep it from unfolding so it ruined the whole roll of toilet paper. We were supposed to be able to see the nature around… no windows other than the ones that show the parking lot. But the floors are clean!

If you're visiting the Golden gate recreation area, this is a pretty convenient motel to stay at. I didn't have any issues remote working either. Staff were helpful and the rooms were clean. You're on your own for breakfast, but the price kind of reflects that I guess. The area did not feel unsafe to me and I was not worried about my vehicle. I didn't really get much highway noise either.

This is a really great location if you are going to San Francisco but don't want to stay in San Francisco. It's just quiet enough and close to a lot of essentials. The staff is super helpful the rooms are nice and clean. The only drawback is the lack of power outlets near the beds. I use a CPAP machine and also needed a place to charge my tablet my phone and my smartwatch thankfully I thought I hadn't brought an extension cord. Had no issue getting extra pillows or towels. Great accessible rooms if you have mobility issues.
