We visited in January midweek (Monday through Thursday). We had not planned in advance and prices in San Francisco were crazy high for some reason. My rating is based on this being a roadside motel, not a downtown hotel. I was very satisfied with the value. This was a great location for hiking in Muir Woods, dining in Sausalito, and visiting the city for a couple of days. Nearby are groceries, drug store, a breakfast/lunch place and a couple of lunch/ dinner places. We enjoyed the nearby restaurants. The mattress seemed relatively new and the bedding was crisp and clean. (I always search for bedbugs so I saw the mattress and all layers of bedding.) so I slept comfortably. Our room faced the highway but the noise did not interfere with my sleep. I was aware of the noise in the daytime
Positive: "" Negative: The room is very small. Right off a very busy road. Woke up multiple times at night due to road noise.
This place is great, comfortable and the owners are sweet. Overall great experience. And let me tell you the front office lady is the sweetest she brought me hot cocoa when I got sick! Her daughter was even nicer, they had a pot luck at her school and invited me.
This place is a Joke. They advertise a hot breakfast, doesn't exist. The rooms are not cleaned properly, dirty towels left in the bathroom, the heater, leaks condensation just outside the room, making a small pool out front you have to walk thru. The fridge hasn't been cleaned in months, the chairs are very stained, the floor was dirty. I wouldn't recommend this place even as a last choice. Don't bother.
The location is convenient, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, and the price seemed reasonable. But was it worth it? Unfortunately, no. We carried our luggage up the stairs (not too many steps), but as soon as we entered room 212, there was a strong odor. We had to open the windows to air it out. The AC unit was very dusty and noisy, and the filter was so dirty we had to rinse it ourselves. We couldn’t keep the windows open either because of the traffic noise outside. The room had everything you’d expect, but nothing was clean or well-maintained. The fridge was caked with ice, the shower head was outdated, the coffee maker was dirty, and everything felt cheap and poorly operated. The couch was stained, the room was dusty, and while the bed was sleepable, it wasn’t ver
