Mountain Home Inn

We eloped in Mt. Tam and stayed the night at the Mountain Home Inn. From the moment we reached out, we felt excited and like they were the perfect fit for our special night. Erick, the manager, was a pleasure to work with and helped guide in choosing the right room; to which we chose 5. Upon arrival, the sweet, young lady at the front (I believe her name was Layla?), was so excited to greet us and gave us such wonderful energy. She even assisted me with holding the wedding train when going down the stairs. We had requested a couple food items for the room and once we let her know, she sprang into action to get them set-up for us immediately. She really set the mood for the night with her hospitality. A lovely place! Husband and I stayed for two nights. Our room was lovely, very comfortable, with a gorgeous view. It is fantastic to have comfortable seating in addition to a great bed! Breakfast was delicious, two kinds of quiche, bagels, muffins, fruit, great coffee, and more! Lunch/dinner options are limited but well executed. The staff were lovely, helpful and competent in every way. We had a great time!

What a special spot with a great view and amazing location. I came here for an engagement weekend and was thoroughly pleased with my stay. Great service, amazing views and a great breakfast! Thanks MHI for making our weekend so special

Positive: Very good location, free parking, beautiful views, the person who was serving us was kind- couldn't really do too much about our complaints. Negative: We tried to use the jets in the tub in the evening, but there wasn't a switch to turn it on. Guest were loud at 11pm, smoking marijuana inside the building and threw a glass that ended on our balcony. Awful bed, very soft, I slept on the floor after 3am.

The view is gorgeous. There used to be a restaurant here,but please be aware that it closed. you can still get something to eat, but it's all premade, pre packaged things that are microwaved or just served on paper plates. The fruit salad was just Mellon, no other fruit. Still, the atmosphere and view were gorgeous.
