The room itself was cute and comfortable. Stylish, cozy, the bathroom had a private door and a bathroom fan! The beds were low to ground and so comfortable. I was amazed at how friendly the staff was throughout the hotel, including the restaurant and breakfast hall. Each person we engaged with were courteous and considerate. Downtown the homey friendliness continued in the stores as we strolled from the hotel to the local spots. Everything is relatively close and you get to see the scenic coaster and pine trees right outside! Very peaceful stay. You can even hear the train pass by.
“Trailborn Grand Illusion” would be a more accurate name. We stayed for Valentine’s Day with our two boys. We called ahead because a snowstorm delayed us in Flagstaff and were told our room would not be canceled — but when we arrived, it was. They eventually reinstated us into what was supposed to be a double-queen. The room, the beds, and especially the bathroom were much smaller than advertised. I even measured the beds — they were about 57–58 inches wide, not queen size. The toilet is also right against the wall, which would be very uncomfortable for a larger person. Nothing on the property matched the website photos. When we mentioned this, my wife said their photographer must be great at angles, and the front desk laughed and agreed — which pretty much confirmed our experience. Th
Trailborn Grand Canyon is by far the nicest hotel in the area. The aesthetic is beautiful, modern, thoughtful, and perfectly aligned with the Grand Canyon atmosphere. Everything felt very intentional, from the design elements to the overall guest experience. Our room was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The only minor issue was that the shampoo and conditioner bottles were practically empty upon arrival, but aside from that, everything else was excellent. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay, Gigi made the experience especially memorable. She was warm, personable, and shared some great laughs with the kids, which made the morning feel extra special. I also really appreciated the water bottle refill station in the lobby. It’s such a practical and thoughtful amenity, especial
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible hotel, and from the moment I walked in, Gigi made me feel at home. The friendly service throughout my stay was exceptional, but Gigi truly set the tone with her warm smile and genuine kindness. Every time I approached the front desk, Gigi greeted me by name, and Gigi went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The welcome experience was elevated by a tasty free cocktail that Gigi personally recommended. Thanks to Gigi, I tried a signature drink I might have otherwise overlooked, and Gigi was absolutely right—it was delicious and beautifully presented. As I sipped my cocktail, Gigi checked in to ensure it was to my liking, which perfectly reflected Gigi’s excellent customer service. The hotel itself has an amazing
Stopped off after a long trip home...but not quite home yet. One section of the place was "under construction" I guess some remodeling or upgrading going on. We, apparently along with many others were boarded in the back section, a bit of a walk downhill to the amenities...but an uphill walk back. Did not partake of the outdoor pool and hot tub, nor the on site restaurant/bar because of the walk. Room was cozy and warm. Breakfast was OK. Even though in banquet style chafing servers to keep warm...it wasn't really warm. I guess we should have dug to the bottom closer to the stereo flames. But still was a nice breakfast. Good hot coffee, but no juice. See pics for choices. Did not appreciate the $150 hold on our credit card for "incidentals" or "possible damages." I've not experienced this i
