TownePlace Suites by Marriott Wrentham Plainville

**(Update: this hotel was struck by lightning last year and has numerous electrical problems. Call and ask, the hotel is upfront about it after you check in.) At check in after a long flight. Used the app so they knew when i would arrive. The receptionist decided that even with Titanium status she could not check me in right away and had me wait in the lobby. She made no attempt to find out if my room was ready, claiming i had to wait till 3pm. She stated your room might be ready but no one will check till 3pm. Not a good start to a week long stay. After waiting an hour in the lobby her shift ended and she left work without helping me check in. Didn't even tell anyone. Now Im at the room and the TV does not work.

I checked in late, but my room was already assigned and available through the Marriott app. The hotel was modern, and clean overall, though I note the wrinkled towels in the bathroom, and there was a stain on the bedsheet - The manager addressed this with a discount on the hotel stay. The room size was generous and you don’t feel crowded. Amenities in the room included fridge, Full kitchen with stove, and dishes/cutlery provided. Of course, there was your coffee/tea maker with accessories. Hotel staff was friendly. Continental breakfast was very basic, but provided your general staples including coffee, tea, eggs, cereal, waffles, etc. It seems like it’s frequented by travelers for business based on the breakfast crowd. The hotel was bright and clean with nice room layouts. Staff was friendly and professional! They graciously let our group use a space for eating a meal all together which was much appreciated rather than trying to go out to eat wuth our whole group. Bar onsite was convenient for grabbing drinks before bed. Breakfast was great! Lots of options! Very convenient stay for a VERY early hockey game in Foxboro!

Positive: Being close to major roads, events, venues but also secluded from traffic areas Negative: Smoking outside by guests should be in designated areas. As a person with health issues it is necessary that I avoid smoke yet as I walked around outside like never knew when I?d run into someone smoking.

The biggest issue with this hotel is that their "queen" size beds are actually only a full, which is a problem for anyone over 6ft tall. My husband was extremely uncomfortable with his feet hanging off the bed during our stay. We didn't have time to switch rooms during our stay due to a busy schedule. The false advertising and charging for a queen size bed was disappointing and the lack of customer service has only added to that. I have called 3 times to speak to a manager about this but there seems to never be one working. I was also assured that the GM would call me when they were in last week, but didn't. Overall the room was ok. It could have been cleaned better (used bobby pins and hair elastics on the floor, so clearly not vacuumed). It's unfortunate because the location was quite co
