TownePlace Suites by Marriott The Villages

I stay only at this hotel every visit. In fact arriving tomorrow for a week. Great location, nice pool, friendly staff, walkable to the town square. The rooms are large and the kitchens are perfect, especially with kids. Good breakfast too. If you check out the people who complain on here, they complain everywhere. Who starts with the review of the elevator before they even get to the room? It’s a nice hotel so ignore them.

We do enjoy our time here. Staff is great and always trying to make our extended stay comfortable. The suite is perfect for our needs and having availability to a Weber grill is awesome. We always use it a lot. Hotel and rooms could use a refresh within the next 2 years and we will welcome those updates but we definitely enjoy our stay.

Upon arrival you are met by a very warm receptive staff member. Check in was seamless. |A small table located in the lobby greeted you with cookies, small chocolates and M&Ms. |Fresh warm coffee was available. |Ta local newspaper and national paper was freely offered. |This is an older hotel that was very clean, a well appointed small kitchen with all necessary accessories for a limited meal. |The bedding was very comfortable and fresh smelling. |The morning complementary breakfast buffet quality was far above the normally available Marriott offerings. Positive: Location Negative: I paid for a one bedroom queen suite then advised they only had a two bed Queen studio. me and my friends could barely fit our stuff in there. And then they went and give us the price difference so I'm extremely dissatisfied with my experience

The room was noticeably outdated, with worn furnishings and décor that appeared in need of significant updates. For the price charged, I anticipated a more modern, well-maintained, and comfortable environment. The overall condition of the room did not reflect the premium rate I paid, and it left me feeling that the value did not match the cost. As a guest, I choose Marriott because of its reputation for quality and consistency. This stay, however, fell short of those expectations. Very disappointed as a Bonvoy member
