The Waterfront Inn

Great experience at The Waterfront Inn. We stayed in a king room in March 2026. Hotel is fairly ‘no frills’ and a bit dated, but is clean, in a great location and has a good staff. The hotel provides a texting service for any requests you might have during your stay. We asked for turndown service one night which they normally don’t accommodate, but were happy to make an exception. Our highlight was the service we received from Byron serving food and drinks at the pool. We would absolutely come back to The Waterfront.

We stayed there on February 11,2026. I was with my sister and her 2 sons. In the middle of the night out of no where my youngest nephew threw up and we immediately cleaned it up with the towels in the room since we had nothing else to clean up with. The following morning I asked the maid service for a large trash bag so we could put the towels in there so hotel staff wouldn’t have to handle it. Only to find out our dad who paid for the hotel was charged a $250 fine for cleaning it up. I understand a small charge for the inconvenience but not $250 at all.

Westside I a balcony water front room. We had a view of the pool as well. The room was clean, spacious and two queen comfortable beds. It was a quiet peaceful stay. We loved the restaurant I the hotel and the convenience. We were just steps aways from all the shops and other restaurants. There was adequate parking. The guest services at check in and check out were nice and professional and welcoming. It's a lovely place to lodge while visiting the Villages. Definitely glad we had an opportunity to stay here for 2 nights. We would stay again & recommend.

We have been coming here for years when we are in the area to visit family. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Our room was quiet and comfortable, and we enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. We had tasty lunches overlooking the water at the onsite restaurant, Calypso. The location is perfect for walking along Lake Sumter and going into the square. What really stood out this trip was the kind and professional staff - shout out to Megan at the front desk, and Amy and Bobbie at Calypso. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing!

The overall experience, from check-in to check-out, was wonderful. Kate was the person I interacted with most at the front desk, and she was very hospitable, but the rest of the staff deserves kudos as well - from the front desk to the Calypso restaurant, to the housekeeping staff. Everyone made sure my stay was highly enjoyable, and it a great value for your dollar.
