TownePlace Suites by Marriott Orlando Southwest Near Universal

Mixed review here. Start with the good. Friendly helpful staff. Clean new rooms with full kitchen. Best free breakfast since being on our trip. Free coffee station had everything including honey. Price is good for what you get. The bad. Have to pay for parking. Probably normal for close to the park except the QR code to pay does not work on my phone or my wife's phone. With penalty of being charged $75 bucks if you don't pay. They need to fix that. Walk in shower impossible to keep water from escaping onto floor outside. All in all not too much to complain about. It's a very nice hotel.

Do not stay here or book a suite if you need a pull out couch. We booked a one bedroom suite that claimed to have a pull out couch. The couch is essentially like sleeping on a box spring. It is rock hard with a wooden beam running through the middle. No mattress. It’s so horrible I’m considering buying an air mattress for my son.

Good location and rooms are okay. Service is just okay. First, there is a $32 parking fee that they don’t mention online. The room pillows are flat. But more important, the common areas are run down, especially for a recently remodeled hotel. There are stains on all of the common furniture, chips in the walls, etc.

Positive: It was clean! It was so hard trying to find a hotel that was clean and had everything we needed! Negative: Compared to other hotels, there were minor details.

Stayed December 2025 and the breakfast, rooms, service were great! The room cleaning staff were super nice and attentive. The proximity to Universal was also a plus. Only downside would be the parking of $36/night as the hotel doesn't own the lot. Overall very nice hotel through, would come again!
