Topper's Motel

Me and my family came out to visit some friends in Barstow. It had been about 7 years since we had been here last. It was late when we arrived and surprised at how much the town had changed. The biggest surprise was the motel we stayed at. I remembered it being a really bad area and was hesitant to stop there. Once we pulled up I was pleasantly surprised at the difference in what I remembered and what I was seeing. I talked with the owner and he told me that he had just bought it a yr or so ago. Really nice man. The rooms had all been remodeled and were very clean and reasonably priced. We stayed for almost a week and I had not one complaint. I am still amazed at the transformation. Best place to stay in the area!!! Our flight was delayed and we didn’t arrive until 3am. We called in advance to let them know and they assured us that regardless of the arrival time someone would be there to check us in. Check in went smooth and the owner was friendly. The rooms were very clean!! The tile floor was a huge relief to see there was no sticky carpet or smell and you could tell the linen was clean. We would leave for the afternoon and every day we would come back to a clean room the service was great. There’s a pool and a restaurant attached to the hotel which was very convenient. The food at the restaurant is really good. I’ve recommended Toppers to others visiting the area.

Great place to stay. Clean. Very friendly staff, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were nice. Enjoyed the pool. Originally got it for one night, ended up staying for three. It's on the main road, but the rooms are tucked away so it feels private and comfortable. Also right next to a great Mexican restaurant.

Staff was very welcoming when we arrived at this motel. The rooms are small, clean and everything is in working order with fair prices for the area. In room coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, iron and board, the bed has a memory form mattress and it was comfortable. There is plenty of parking and is right next to a Mexican restaurant. If you prefer something else there is more options in town.

This motel is clean and safe. The rooms are modern and simple. I've never had a problem with the staff or any of my fellow travelers here. If you're looking for an easy and very affordable place to stay this is a good choice. The exterior has the feeling of being from another time which is common in smaller towns which I personally find enjoyable. More importantly, the rooms are modern and clean. A good choice for a party of one or two per room. It also has an attached Restaurant for those of you who like Mexican food.
