I initially tried to give this establishment a generous review (emphasizing the very few positives) after staying there during Oildorado. However, upon our return home (to another state), we realized that a brand new (beautiful) $75 blouse that I had purchased especially for the occasion and had worn only ONCE to a special event for a couple of hours had inadvertently been left in the room on the bed. When we contacted the office to report what had happened, the woman said she would "look into it." A couple of days went by and no one bothered to contact us. This place is so clean! Very impressed. Reception desk very nice. I have been going to Taft for years to see family. I decided to stay at a hotel this year for the holidays. I chose the right one! Will come back.

Accidentally left a new $75 blouse on the bed. When we contacted them (had to call them 3 times and they said they would check then never called back the first 2 times), they said they "didn't find it." I hope whoever took it enjoys taking an item that doesn't belong to them. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING! You won't get it back! The bathroom was a nightmare, as well -- broken shower head barely worked (and shot out with such pressure in one spot it was painful). The old small light fixture was very dim, making it even more difficult to shower.

Hotel was 10/10. Quiet, clean, good showers, spacious, fridge, couch, breakfast offerings. Female worker was friendly. A burger/breakfast place is right next door. You could walk ten mins to a bakery, taco places, grocery store. My only complaint is the heater was startling when it kicked on.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Country Inn & Suites. The hotel was not as described or pictured in the advertisement. Our room was in poor condition and had a strong unpleasant odor of dog kennel & mold that caused allergies to go crazy. When I requested a room change, I was initially told that all rooms were the same, but was then promised another room and 16,000 Choice Points to my account, neither of which materialized. The outside and inside of the hotel were outdated and run down, with molded and missing siding. The front entry porch was messy, with old garbage and pots thrown on the side of the railing, along with dead hanging baskets and neglected landscaping. The bathtub had a filthy, worn-out mat, and the mattress was uncomfortable and worn. To make matters
