Thousand Trails Peace River

I've been FT for about 7 months now, and unfortunately, I had a late start, so I arrived at the park after dark (and after the office closed). What made this worse was the poor signage on the roads and no lighting to see the site numbers. I drove around looking for my row and had to back up twice because the roads aren't wide enough for two RVs to pass. ||I decided to get out and walk around to find my spot. I see the spot that I was assigned to had a neighbor who had blocked off their 'yard' with string lights and posts, clearly taking up more space than they were allowed. It would have been a very tight fit during the day, but there was no way I was going to attempt to back into such a cramped space in the dark. So I looked around and took another spot. I stayed at Thousand Trails Peace River during peak season and overall had a really positive experience. This is a large, very social campground with a lot going on, so if you enjoy an active atmosphere and meeting people, it’s a great place to stay. One of the first things I appreciated was how easy the park is to spot from Highway 17, which makes arrival much less stressful — especially in a big rig. The internal roads are paved and wide enough to navigate comfortably. Sites vary a lot depending on where you’re placed. Some are near the highway, some sit in full sun out in the open field, others are shaded under live oaks, and some are closer to the river. This park is so much more than a place to breeze through for the weekend. It truly is a unique little community, colored by a constant stream of new faces from all over the world. I came to Thousand Trails Peace River at a difficult crossroads in my life. My self-confidence, in addition to my faith in other people had taken a pretty good beating. Choua, the park manager has been extremely accessible and accommodating. She made it simple and efficient to set up a long term stay, coordinating with their corporate team as well. Nathan, the membership specialist she connected me with, was straightforward, timely and empathetic. The young ladies in the office, Selena and Morgan have always been kind and patient with me. A nice campground situated right of a main thoroughfare. It comfortably housed us and our needs while we were there. Newer washers and dryers were easily accessible. Staff was wonderful and kept the grounds wonderfully maintained. I can't wait to return.

Nice sites, love the trails. We didn't get to "dig" for shark teeth while visiting, but we did enjoy our stay. Only stayed a week but wish it would have been longer. Hope to return in the Spring or summer. Would recommend for anyone. Staff was nice, and the other guests friendly. It was quiet, which we really liked. The only complaint would be the shower house. A family member did use them and said it was not clean and the shower head did not work properly. See you again! We will return.
