Thousand Trails Lake Gaston

I had an extended stay at Thousand Trails on Lake Gaston and have only good things to say about my three week stay.||The location is beautiful! I could see the lake from the front door of my RV and there were glorious sunsets every night. The trees are very tall and provide shade for the entire campground, but the bare trunks don't inhibit the views at ground level. The beaches, docks, walking paths and grassy areas were all well maintained. Lots of space to take my dog for walks.||Everyone I encountered, guest and staff, were very friendly. It's a welcoming community. As a solo female traveler, one thing I particularly appreciate is how safe it feels. The whole campground is gated and everyone on site is registered at the office. Very well laid out campground. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We have been here twice in the Spring and Fall, and enjoyed the quiet shoulder seasons. The pool is clean and adequate size. The views of the lake are amazing.

We had a great visit. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Jennifer was very helpful and pleasant with our questions. Peggy is always a joy to see at the grill. We will definitely be back.

Excellent staff, and super friendly. My first site was so unlevel that my sewer hose would have to run uphill. My front to back had a 16"downhill difference. But they gave me a better site.
