Stonehouse Timber Lodge

Absolutely love this place, always a good time here. Lovely scenery, great swimming area, and even better boats to rent. Best didn’t gem on the lake, definitely recommend. New owner and new employees are great, they’re doing very well keeping it going!!

2nd time staying. We rented the same 2 BR mobile home as last year, hoping there had been some improvements. Sadly, it was worse. The floor in the living room had gotten wet at some point and last year it was a little wavy, but this year, if you weren't watching, you could really get hurt. The vinyl planks had come undone and we're just waving at you. The floor in the master bath didnt look like it had bee mopped since we were there last time and the carpets in the bedrooms had seen their better days. Baseboards were filthy! While we were sitting out back in the screen porch, we smelled a very foul odor. The next day we saw what it was. Raw sewage was running down the entire front of the trailer. Had we not been with family at the next house, we would have packed up and left. At

Stayed here for 10 years on an annual trip. The former owner passed away and you can tell. Rooms had mold on ceilings, no dish towels, no soap, and one trash Bag. Linens were dirty! One of the owners acted as if he did not care if we stayed again and we will not= EVER. Sad as this use to be a great place to stay.

Had the best experience ever my second time renting I finally got in to house 6! And fell in love with lake Gaston since! Best pontoons on the lake for sure!

We rented a pontoon boat from Stonehouse Timber Lodge. The staff was professional and extremely friendly and accommodating. Martha was the best. She provided us with a clean, well maintained boat. The price was very reasonable and it made our vacation very successful. No doubt, Stonehouse Timber Lodge is the place to be. If I could I would double my rating but it only goes to five.
