Thousand Palms RV Resort

My husband, my 13 year old daughter, and myself stayed here through our membership with Travel Resorts. Originally, when we signed up "White Sands Resort" was our home base in Florida. We were not notified that our home base was switched to Thousand Palms RV Resort. A serious oversight on Travel Resorts part. Our stay here was great. I do have to admit that upgrades need to be made to this place (Rome was not built in a day). The Office Staff, were incredibly sweet. Especially Mrs. JJ, and Miss Marie. The grounds were very well kept and so were the restrooms, showers, and clubhouse. We were there when Hurricane Helene came through. We’ve stayed at Thousand Palms RV Resort for two separate week-long trips, and it’s been a great experience both times. It’s a nice, developing park with a very friendly community feel. Everyone we met was welcoming, and the overall vibe is relaxed and homey. The bathrooms are well kept and honestly pretty cute, though the showers did take quite a while to heat up. The clubhouse is really nice and has plenty to do — puzzles, a piano, ping pong, and more. There’s also mini golf, a tennis boutique, basketball, shuffleboard, and other activities to enjoy. On our first trip, we went out on an airboat with Wild Bill’s Airboat Rides — it was an amazing experience and definitely a highlight! My husband and I are 100% VA disabled Marine Corps Veterans, please my brothers and sisters hear me when I say run away from TRA! They are the biggest timeshare & “membership” scammers of life, they can change your contract as they see fit through a “board” of individuals. There’s not many on the board, they’re all at the top and do NOT have your best interest. They line their pockets. Please checkout their BBB reviews, wish we had. It’s practically impossible to escape from their grasp once you sign those contracts. They do the cute long tour to exhaust you, videos, walk around- to get you to trust their word in what’s in the contract versus reading it over. Learn from our mistakes and NEVER trust these people. Wonderful experience the resort had very clean bathrooms and facilities with lots of outside activities .Very nice staff and residents

Staff is very friendly. The site we had was very nice and spacious. We feel more attention should be given to the size of the camper that is going into the site. We had difficulty backing into the site because of the space. It appeared there were several other sites that were empty that would have been more suitable for our motorhome. There is no camp store for ice or essentials and the only wifi was in the clubhouse. The laundry facility was OK. Had 3 washers and 3 dryers. The baskets you put your clean laundry in were not real clean and a nit rusty. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here, would just like to pass on some information that would make it more enjoyable .
