The Waves Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The hotel was very nicely decorated. It looks like it had been recently renovated. Our room was very comfortable and clean. I really liked the bathroom amenities, particularly the non-fog mirror and large shower head. The beds were comfortable, and the heat/AC system was easy to use. The parking lot is a bit small, but overall it is a great place to stay for an overnight or short visit.

So thankful to have gotten to stay here! My husband and I came to Cape May for the first time on our anniversary! We appreciated that the room was clean, modern, the heater/air con worked efficiently, and the TV had cable! Would definitely stay here again!

Positive: I love the cleanliness of the beds/bathroom. In addition, I’ve never been to a hotel with such great water pressure in the shower. Negative: The parking for a rainy Saturday night in late September was difficult to find a spot. In addition, the man had us standing around for a while. We had my twins nieces who were tired. It was 7pm which was hours after check in, why such a long wait?

Maybe the key is to go during peak season. Off season was not the best. The hotel has a bunch of huge piles of concrete by where you go to Park under the hotel. There was no manager on duty. They have a sign up to call. The hotel room was dirty when we stayed. Hair in shower. The door looked like it was kicked in. Had a horrible smell when we came in. It improved slightly when turned air on. The bed was hard as a rock. The wall in the bathroom had mold growing on the wall I assume it lead to the smell in the room. There is no disclaimer that the breakfast is only during peak season. It was a great location and able to walk to the pier and beach. For the price it is not the worst but I would not describe it as all the photos listed. It did have a lot of amenities like a fridge, microwave

It's a great, clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay. This is our 2nd time at this location. We appreciate the most, that there is a fridge and microwave in the room and that the bedding is comfortable. Parking would be my only complaint. However that seems to be an issue whenever you travel to Wildwood whether it be on or off season.
