The Washington Private Suites

Washington suites are so convenient in downtown Port Townsend. My friend and I spent one night on Sunday the 18th. The double bedded room is perfect for two. It has a little sitting area and a big bathroom. They include lots of extras like coffee pods, oatmeal, candy etc. The best part was the location and ease to walk everywhere. I love Port Townsend!

*BUYER BEWARE* The manager of this hotel and the company Vacasa they use to manage The Washington Hotel in Port Townsend are heartless and money hungry. I’m a single mother and both my daughter and I have asthma. My daughter wanted to go whale watching and bioluminescent kayaking this summer. The closest place to whale watch is Port Townsend. We’ve never been to Port Townsend. Researching hotels in that town this is the only one we found that appeared newer with its remodel. The price was listed at $130/night. After their multiple fees and taxes the total for one Monday night was $661.27. We came to Port Townsend to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is located right in historic downtown with all of the shops and restaurants in walking distance. The hotel had contactless check-in, which is great during these pandemic times (and any time, haha) but the hotel manager made sure we knew that she was available via phone just in case we needed anything like extra towels or restaurant recommendations. The hotel is small and quiet with only 4 suites, and everything was very clean. We stayed in suite 3. ||||The hotel did a great job making us feel welcome with a handwritten card and music playing when we entered the suite and for our anniversary, they left us a bottle of bubbly! My husband and I stayed in Suite 1 with a friend of mine who drove up to meet us for the Wooden Boat Festival. Suite 1 has 1 bedroom with the other bed in the main room. There is a sitting area with 3 chairs. We were comfortable enough to be in the room and play games the evening it rained. Everything was clean. Marilou was easy to work with. She let my friend come early to surprise me for my birthday.||||The bathroom is large and clean. Only additional item that might be good would be an additional bench in the bathroom to lay clothes on while showering. ||||Parking is a little tight but workable, although not really for large vehicles. Perfect for our trip to check on my dad. Located in the heart of downtown Port Townsend. Easy walk for sight seeing or grabbing a bite to eat. Keyless entry and virtual check-in was very convenient. Room was clean, furnishings well maintained, with cozy feel. Will definitely be our go to place when visiting.
