Pilot's Cottage

Located on the water, this historic cottage has an extremely charming original exterior. One of the best locations to be in Port Townsend. Has nice big windows overlooking the marina. They could benefit from lighter and updated decor, to lessen the slightly dark feeling when inside and removing some storage items they keep in a corner.

If there was a 4 and 3/4 stats option, that would be my rating. This is, hands down, the best location I have found to stay in Port Townsend. The adage "location, location, location" is true here. The cabin is an amazing, original shape. The cedar wood details in the ceiling, the old light fixtures, the beautiful hardwood floors, give it a old world appeal. Could it be a little bit less dusty? Yes. Are there a few cobwebs? Yes. These were easy to overlook as my hostess was a delightful individual! She met me on sight, and walked me through at the house to show me some of its idiosyncrasies. The bedding was clean, and smelling fresh. For an old home, everything smells great. There's no odor of must or mildew, in fact, the dominant scent is cedar wood. The kitchen has enough modern amenities

The pilots cottage is steeped in the maritime history of Point Hudson harbor in the town of Port Townsend. It is a wonderful place to walk along the moorage and into the shops along water street. The cottage was comfortable and ideally located for to enjoy the best access to waterfront and the wooden boat building scene of this unique place.

I totally loved waking up at this place. Yeah, you open the door and you see all the boats. It’s like being on a boat without the rocking motion. Rooms are nice, place is quiet and comfortable. I just bought a place in Port Townsend and I will staycation at the Pilot’s Cottage.

WIthout a doubt the most wonderful place I've ever stayed. Easy walk to town, private, waterfront with cozy wood fireplace, full kitchen, two bedrooms. In fact, my two week stay in the Pilot's Cottage resulted in me making Port Townsend my permanent home. At the end of two weeks, I realized there was no place I'd rather be.
