The Wanderlust Hostel

I recently stayed at The Wanderlust Hostel and had an absolutely fantastic experience! This place is a total hidden gem for anyone traveling through Colorado. From the moment I walked in, I felt right at home thanks to the cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes it so easy to meet fellow travelers. The common areas are spotless, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The service is truly top-notch the staff members are incredibly friendly and went out of their way to suggest some amazing local hiking trails that you won't find in the typical guidebooks. The location in Gunnison is perfect it’s peaceful, yet everything is within walking distance. If you are looking for a charming spot that offers great value for money, this is definitely the place to be.

Heating/cooling units were being upgraded, they needed it. That was my only issue. Everything else was excellent. Very comfortable and quiet.

I really liked it. Much quieter than hotel; quiet time begins at 10:00. Hotels don't have a quiet time. Bed comfortable. I think my dog might get along better there than a hotel. Full kitchen available. Quiet neighborhood, not next to busy highway traffic. Gunnison is small so nothing is very far. Price same year 'round.

I stayed at this hostel for 8 nights back in September. It has an awesome atmosphere that makes it easy meet new people and is kept up very well! The owner Amy is full of knowledge of the surroundings area. She is a former mountain guide, and can recommend the perfect hike and outdoor activities for you, whatever it is your looking for! I truly had a blast staying at the Wanderlust, would definitely recommend to anyone!
