The Village at Palisades Tahoe Hotel

The service was amongst the best. All the staff ensured comfort and were exceptionally warm which is hard to find these days. The hotel is also beautiful

We were there for a wedding. The rooms are very dated. The elevator in our building made a very loud and prolonged vibration every time we rode in it - it felt unsafe. When we checked in, I asked "are we overlooking the parking lot?" and the guy said no, but when we got to our room, it was indeed overlooking the parking lot and there was a bus that stopped about every 5-10 minutes right under our window and made a loud beeping sound. Luckily the property was not sold out, and we were able to change rooms. What was odd was that the day before we arrived, they called and said "good news! We've upgraded you to a 2 bedroom!" which was what the parking lot room was, but when we asked to not overlook the lot, they put us in a smaller room. This is a place for young people who want to party late into the night. If you're unlucky like me, you will also get a room next to the hot tubs so there will be another party right next to you, but that one at least stops at 10PM. Will definitely stay somewhere else next time.

Love staying here, location is fantastic for a hiking base. Fireside pizza is a favorite in the village, and the cable car up to high camp is exciting. AC only comes with portable units, no central or entire room cooling. It can get hot in the room and I prefer it chilly for sleeping. Different room types are available, as well as many summer activities.
