Red Wolf Lodge at Olympic Valley

I love staying here for my ski trips several times during the winter. Welcoming staff, charming and comfy rooms and facilities, such as exercise bikes and hottubs, Clubhouse where they also do a welcoming breakfast. Great location with village shops, and not far from downtown Truckee.

There was minimal snow but my wife and I came up to see how the Red Wolf Lodge compared to The Olympic Inn and the Squaw Village apts. We will stay here in the future as a first choice because the bed and Pillows were comfortable. The black out shades were excellent. Due to location, the noise was minimal. We stayed on the third floor. We would highly recommend the Red Wolf Lodge.

I have younger kids and I just didn’t find this to be friendly for families with younger kids. Lovely rooms and all, just not for me for another few years at least! Oh and the coffee situation was unusual for a Hyatt location. Not being provided enough coffee for your visits duration, or at least more than one coffee pouch. When we did ask for another, we were told it was typically only one complementary pouch per stay. There was maintenance going on, basically right outside of our rooms sliding door side and it happened to be very inconveniently scheduled during nap time, with no warning. Wasn’t sure if any of the clubhouse events actually happened? Which, if they were cancelled, it would have been nice to know. I know there was no continental breakfast obviously, but every other location

We have stayed multiple times at Palisades. This facility had very comfortable beds and pillows. The black out curtains were better than other facilities. Because it was not in the village it was much quieter than The Village. We have already reserved for Next April.

The outdoor hot tub was 30 feet from my comfortable room. Another hot tub (or two) was nearby. Just past the hot tub was the gate to the slopes. 30 feet from the gate was the Red Dog Express Lift. The Palisades Village with shops, restaurants, and bars was a 2 minute walk away. Location doesn’t get much better than that!
