The Upper Pass Lodge

Staff is phenomenal! Large rooms, pet friendly, great price. Only drawbacks are limited breakfast options nearby (none on-site), no perks such as microwaves or mini fridges in rooms, and limited control of heating/cooling in rooms (air conditioning was turned off by late September, which made the rooms warm during the day), but for the price it's not a bad place to stay.

We arrived late but the inn keeper (Vince) was so helpful, understanding and accommodating. Refreshing to find such great service. The room was clean and neat. Quaint little place. Love it! Will recommend 👍🏼

We stayed at the Upper Pass Lodge in August and the stay was wonderful. The accomodations were just right, with comfortable beds, an extra room with 2 bunks, ac, and plenty of space. We had a room witha private deck which was nice to enjoy the outdoors. The meals in the retaurant were good and the service excellent. The manager, Vince, treated us like old friends and was alway attentive.

Rooms were very spacious and they also had a bunk bed along with 2 double beds. Only different thing was that they do not do check in after 8 PM which I learned the hard way. They have a small gift shop and also a little restaurant. They don't have AC in the rooms. They have split Ac which was programmed to heat.

Vince, Megan and Lauretta make this place truly special. They work their butts off, Vince, the owner, has not had a day off in over a year. He goes from 7am to 11pm every single day. Are there things that are getting ahead of him? Yes, but that's also why it's affordable and for such an incredible location. And he is constantly updating and making improvements as he is able. We hosted 50 people here last week, I run a 7 day summer camp at Magic Mountain every year. Upper Pass Lodge is where we stay, they do all of our food in their restaurant, Red Slate. It is the perfect place to feel safe, at home, and be in the heart of adventure. The hospitality is next level. Yes, the facility is not perfect. There are water stains on parts of the ceilings, the pipes creek, its a dog friendly hotel.
