The Trail in Adams

I gave The Trail 4 stars because Management did everything they could to accommodate me, but they fell short. I am writing this review to warn others who have MCS or fragrance allergies. I have MCS and this place came recommended to me under its former name, The Topia. Please be advised that when ownership changed hands, standards for non-toxic products also changed.||I spoke to the housekeeper and she said she only cleans with white vinegar, but I was reacting to various surfaces she touched, like the bedding. Also, my breakfast dishes had residual fragrances on them. After some investigating, I realized the kitchen had scented dish soap with D-Limonene and Mrs. Meyers hand soap which contains the ingredient "fragrance." Very nice inn. Owners have clearly put a lot of thought into the details from the well apportioned rooms, artful common areas and great breakfasts. Being a small building with so many rooms it feels a bit cramped and the location (including parking area) could be better. We would stay there again!

A unique experience, each room designed by an artist. Wonderful kitchen, stocked with breakfast food you'd actually want to eat. Kate the manager was as friendly as could be. Hotel is sited right on the walking/biking trail. Our room was great, especially the bathroom. I would have liked a little more storage space in our room, but overall, very pleased and delighted.

We had the most wonderful stay! Our room was beautiful and spotless, everything was clean and all linens were fresh. The spa tub was perfect for relaxing! This place was an incredible value for the price. We did have an incident where unruly guests were disturbing the peace (the walls are quite thin but they were really yelling), but we were very impressed that the manager handled the situation quickly and professionally. In the morning there were breakfast supplies in the kitchen which we enjoyed before heading out. We feel like we’ve found a hidden gem and will definitely return!

We had a great stay. The house was welcoming. The rooms were unique. There was a level 2 EV charger on the left side of the house, but the driveway was too narrow for parking my EV pickup there. There was plenty of additional parking nearby.
