The Surf Club

The website says street and or lot parking available. This is not true. Any street parking within four or five blocks is metered and has to be repaid every four hours and most lots will not let you park overnight. It is beyond inconvenient. The rooms look beautiful they are modern. The bed is comfortable. The shower is great. The room also smells like mildew and the walls are so thin You can literally hear every conversation being held next-door. Customer service is not responsive. During my stay I witnessed two separate people yelling on the phone trying to get someone to help them as they did not receive a code to get in the room. For one or two nights it’s okay, Although I would not go back any longer forget it.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights and it was enjoyable and affordable. Check in was easy and received the door code 2 hours early. We also received a text offering to extend our stay for an additional night at a discounted rate so we took advantage of that. Overall, the room was clean and had all the essential amenities. The only negative we found was the size of the room. Tight squeeze for a couple and our belongings only staying a few nights

I stayed here with my fiancé for the night. It was absolutely beautiful! The room was clean and everything looked refurbished and brand new! The bathroom’s rain shower felt so luxurious. I only wish I stayed longer! I tried to contact them about extending my stay but everything is through the app and I didn’t hear back. This place is super affordable. Our only gripe was that there was no parking, but we managed to get a spot right outside (we ended up spending about 30 bucks at the meter for 24 hours). This motel is a block away from the boardwalk and the beach so it was a perfect spot. We will definitely be staying here again!! I even recommended it to my family and friends! Thanks again to the staff at The Surf Club!!!

We had a great stay. We appreciated the quietness of Ocean City, NJ. Room was no frills (as expected) but had what we needed and was very clean and updated. We also loved the large shower head and the lounge patio right outside our room where we watched the lightning storm. Would absolutely stay here again. One guest was playing music from their phone speaker on the patio without headphones so would just ask that staff request guests use headphones for their music as one of the hotel rules. I ended up putting my headphones in with noise canceling.

Location is fine. Room is adequate for a night or two, doesn’t even have a chair to sit in. No parking isn’t ideal. Customer service is terrible!! Booked two rooms at different times for the same weekend, same type of room. One room was $43 more and they refused to honor that price for both. Would not speak on the phone- only way to contact was through text. Since I couldn’t cancel we were stuck. I won’t be back again. You would think $43 wouldn’t be worth losing a potential return customer, especially since they weren’t sold out. Glad there are many other choices in OC.
