The Shallows Resort

My wife and I needed a getaway from life, so we chose the Shallows Resort in Egg Harbor. We got out of the car and the first thing I noticed is how quiet it is. Check in was flawless and we had a room on the second floor of the Shoreside Motel. Our room looked out over Lake Michigan and it was very calming and peaceful. Unfortunately our bed was very hard but we made due by using the comforter off the second bed for more cushioning. The room was very clean and we had plenty of room for the two of us. | We really did not do much around the resort but just enjoyed how peaceful and relaxing it was while we were there. My first time in Door County and I found this gem amongst all of the options to stay. This will be my go to for all of my future visits. The owner was very friendly, the location was beautiful, the cinnamon rolls and juice in the morning were prefect to get your day going. They offer kayaks and bikes to use while staying there. Watching the sunsets from the shoreline right there and then enjoying a fire in one of the fire pits.

This was our third stay at the Shallows, and we enjoyed every minute. The property is a few minutes south of Egg Harbor and is removed from the crowds of Door County. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and those with kitchens are nicely equipped. The Shoreside rooms have balconies or decks and a breathtaking view of the waters of Green Bay. The pool/hot tub area is well-maintained with plenty of seating and newer chairs and chaises. There are 2 firepits, and the Shallows team stocks them daily with firewood. The grounds are gorgeous with flowers everywhere. ||I would be remiss if I didn't mention Lorie, the manager. She is professional, helpful and keeps the Shallows running smoothly. ||Thanks Shallows Team!

Just had the most relaxing vacation at The Shallows Resort. Nothing better than having Lake Michigan out your back door, a picturesque resort with beautiful sunsets and wooded area. Lori and her staff were very nice and kept the property extremely clean. The pool area was awesome, along with 2 fire pit areas to enjoy at night. Egg Harbor was also a 5 minute drive. We will be back next year for an extended stay. Thank you for a great time!!

Unprofessional, dishonest management. Be very weary of giving any sort of deposit or payment upfront or allowing them to keep your credit card on file. I’d been a repeat customer for years. I noticed a charge on my credit card statement and thought it’d be a simple fix. When I called to contest and ask for a refund, I was told that I was a no-call, no-show. I told Lori (front desk) that she and I had a lengthy conversation over the course of a couple days about my family not coming due to a death in the family. Instead of refunding the latter charge, they refunded the deposit because it was a smaller amount. I called and left a voicemail, stating that I was mischarged - no callback. I emailed with no response. I will never give the shallows my business again, nor will I refer any fr
