The Scandia Inn

We just stayed at the Scandia Inn during a New Year’s ski trip. Adorable little place conveniently located off the main road in McCall, so shops and restaurants were easily walkable. We also met some super friendly deer! Rooms were clean and cozy, and we loved hopping in the hot tub and sauna after skiing and snowboarding all day. Grab and go breakfast is super nice and convenient, just wished it was stocked a bit better early in the morning! However, this was absolutely not a dealbreaker and everything else was excellent. Staff were super kind and responsive. We would love to come back!

Enjoyed our mid-week getaway stay at the Scandia Inn. The hot tub and sauna were a welcome sight after hiking all day. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean, just missing a towel hook. The small heater in the bathroom was perfect for keeping the area warm when the temps were chilly outside but a rack or hook above it would be a great addition to hang wet towels or damp items. It was mid-week so we were the only room booked for the first night, very quiet. The second night, the room next to us was booked and we could hear them walking around all night but it sounded as if they were on a floor above us... Pretty setting, friendly front desk, clean rooms, convenient to downtown. Comfortable bed. Plentiful variety in the morning grab and go coffee area. Didn’t use the jacuzzi, didn’t look inviting. Like previous review said no closet to hang clothes or drawers to unpack. Owners did a great job rehabbing the property with keeping the existing structure. Rates tend to fluctuate, best to stay during week to get the bang for buck! Would stay again!

😊: The location was ideal for our trip, the host was friendly and our room was modern and spotlessly clean.. 😢: The real let down was the breakfast, just some packets of oatmeal, mini cakes and bananas. This is the reason for our rating and why we felt the property didn’t meet our expectations. Also the heating system had a clicking noise every 5-10 seconds that went on throughout the night..

Great space! We hosted our Corporate Retreat here and it was perfect! They had a meeting room with AV that was prefect for our group. They hosts were easy to communicate with happy to help with anything. The courtyard was perfect for the outdoor movie we had and morning yoga organized by the owners as well. Our group had a great time! And we were within walking distance to downtown and the Lake.
