The Rutledge Avenue Inn

The charming, impeccably clean Rutledge Ave. Inn is absolutely a great choice for your stay in Charleston. Only a half mile from King St. shopping with ample restaurants all along the way, you can be at the Historic Charleston Market in 5 minutes on bike, 15 minutes walking, or use the easy public transportation available. History, family fun, nightlife, and entertainment are all easily accessible. If you want to experience living in downtown Charleston like a native, yet have the amenities of a pampered guest, this unique inn is a great choice. The unit we stayed in was well stocked with towels, linens, and extra pillows. You can relax on the large front porch on the bottom floor unit or balcony in the upstairs unit. Separate entrances for units with convenient, easy-to-use keyless access

Great place to stay in Charleston. Spacious, clean and well equipped. If you have a larger group, the front suites of the house have a large veranda in front.

This place is nicely kept and appointed and in a busy but nice part of town. I wish the kitchen had more utensils but otherwise pretty nice.the porch is the best part of this flat. Could use more bar soap in the baths however. They accept dogs but do charge extra. All in all a nice relaxing place to stay in Charleston

We prefer to stay in fully furnished/equipped apartments when we travel. We enjoy eating out but not every meal and certainly not for breakfast. The Rutledge Inn was exactly what we were looking for and we will certainly plan to stay here again when we return to Charleston. The bed was comfortable, the apartment was clean and well equipped and it was relatively quiet at night.

Stayed in upper front unit, 4 nights. Great place for 4 of us to enjoy. Dual King beds with own baths, plenty of towels and other basic supplies. Love the porch, big kitchen and family room. All needs taken care of. Walking to King Street shops, bars and restaurants was easy. Hominy Grill across the street! Minimart and coffee shop a block away on Spring. Used Uber for Rainbow Row, farther trips. Tip to owners: # button on main door lock gave us a bit of trouble. Sometimes it worked 1st time, other times took us 3 or more times to get it work.
