The Riverhouse

We got married here in May of 2019. The grounds were beautiful and the dogwood trees were in bloom. It was spacious and affordable. Photos were spectacular with the natural beauty of the grounds and the river below. I am so very happy with this venue.

I got married here and it was such a great venue. Working with the lady that oversaw the property was always pleasant as she went above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed on her end. We rented tables and brought in most of what we used. This was a great canvas to transform into my vision. The river flows right below, the trees and beauty of nature makes it a really private location for a wedding. We danced the night away and didn’t pay a fortune to do so! This was booked through Jackson County Parks and Rec back when we rented it. I would highly recommend using this for a future wedding! We also used the Hotel next door and got a discount on rooms for guests.

My daughter & son-in-law were married here on November 6th of this year. If I had to give the outside only a review, it would have been 4 stars out of the five, as it was lovely, but some of the electrical outlets were not functioning & we had to search for some that were, to power the chandelier that we hung. The site itself was beautiful, with the river & the trees in their autumn colors, but we had the trailer park across the river in the background, which wasn't too disrupting, but still was not the most pleasant of views. However, the site made for a very attractive wedding. My problem is with the interior of the attached wedding hall. The kitchen was FILTHY, with what appeared to be black mold growing in the bottom of the refrigerator, with some kind of brown sludge growing down the

Very nice place to have an event. You get a shaded outdoor area as well as an indoor space with couches, a full kitchen, and a bathroom. It was very clean. It came with tables and chairs and was right on the river. There is also a bathroom outside.

Have been to multiple weddings here over the years. Would be nice if the grassy area was fully grassed in and dead tree branches trimmed. Hasn't changed much over the last 20+ years.
