Riverfront Lodging

This was a convenient and comfortable location to stay while exploring the area. Staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms clean and modern enough but with a bit of old-fashioned feel. Location on river is nice.

Beautiful location. The property was well maintained and landscaped. The room was clean and spacious offering a second bedroom for our daughter which she loved. The bed was comfortable and I loved the pillows. The woman at the front desk was extremely nice and it was clear she cared about making her guests feel welcome.

Beautiful view of the Rogue River; extremely attentive service by Dana, the manager; clean and lovely room with large deck overlooking the river. I read a few negative reviews and if you also have done so, know that they were "one-offs"--it was an AWESOME place and, again, Dana was super attentive to our needs. We were there for 4 nights (as part of a Crater Lake visit) so we appreciated that there is a grill for guests to use to minimize expensive restaurant meals. We also were happy to have the microwave for leftovers! While it is an hour-ish drive to Crater Lake, it is well worth the amenities and relaxation value of sitting on our private deck, overlooking the Rogue, wine in hand, after a busy day of hiking. It’s fine for the price but I can’t say I’d recommend it. The beds were pretty uncomfortable though not the worst I’ve ever had. My biggest issue with the room was the security. They use traditional house keys not carded entry so anyone who has pretty much ever stayed there could have a copy of the keys. They also had no locks outside of the knob. No deadbolt, no chain latch, nothing. There are a couple of walkable places to eat which is nice. It’s cute on the inside. I probably wouldn’t stay here again unless I really needed to be in shady cove for some reason. And I’d bring some kind of door jammer for the inside.

We planned a short trip to see Crater Lake and wanted a place to stay for a couple nights that wouldn't break the bank but would be comfortable and clean. We took a flyer and reserved two nights at Riverfront Lodging. That was a great decision! First off, Dana helped me with the reservation and she was delightful from the first interaction and was so pleasant and helpful during our stay. They were booked up already for the three riverfront rooms but she put us in room 15, which was great. The room has dedicated parking right outside room (all rooms are on ground level as this is a small property). The room had been recently remodeled, smelled and looked clean and inviting.
