The Ritz-Carlton Maui Luau - Tales of the Kapa Moe

Literally just book it! Just us two girls who decided to book and we did sooo much research on which to pick this one is IS IT. Worth EVERY $$$. From the incredible food literally to die for, to the service to the details, to the culture experience. Was incredible and so so memorable even for two friend on a trip exploring Maui.

A very well done and special experience. We opted for the Premium seating "Ali'i" and it was worth it. There was a separate line for entry that allowed us to get in before general seating. Allowed us to experience the pre-show activities and family photo without crowds or a line. The experience is fun and cultural from the moment you walk in and the ready to grab, Mai Tais for adults and fun drinks for kids. The service was excellent, we had a front row table and with Ali'i, you get access to dinner first. The show was interesting and fun to watch. True Hawaii culture. For a first time in Hawaii, it was definitely worth doing. Kids loved the fire part of the performance. All excellent, no complaints :)

Not sure why people are reporting such horrible experiences lately. We went tonight and had a fabulous time. The food was excellent, service was great and show was spectacular. You can tell a lot of planning goes into this experience and it wasn’t just thrown together overnight. Don’t let the poor reviews keep you from booking this.

The story told was beautiful, but the show lacked energy with the exception of the fire dancer. For the price we expected more than 10 dancers and a few musicians. It was hard to hear, but they did seat us at the back table. Liked that we got a family portrait. I wanted to like it, but it was awkward that the audience was barely clapping.

After purchasing this experience for my family of 8 (we have six kids), I was a little sick about spending $2k. I was thinking of all the things we could do with that money. Now that we’ve attended, I am SO glad I did it! It was absolutely a wonderful experience. My youngest is 5, my oldest is 15. Each one of them loved the food, atmosphere, music, and performances. Our server, Jason, was so great. We were grateful for the keiki food options as back up- although even our youngest ate from the regular buffet in addition to the kids’ mac and cheese. The food was all delicious, especially the poke! The mango pudding was the best dessert. The narrator for the show was very engaging- I love how he brought so much meaning to the stories performed.
