The Pointe Hotel & Suites

I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent rooms and amenities. The rooms were like small apartments and had a very rustic feel. Pool and sauna were kept clean and the location in Minoqua was very convenient for our weekend of fishing in the Northwoods. I will definitely be coming back

I chose this hotel because of its good ratings online The hill entering the parking lot was so icy it was ridiculous and unsafe! Whirlpool in room would not get hot Bathroom thermostat locked. Could not warm the bathroom. After going in pool room, hot tub foamy and dirt floating in the foam. Shower in room was cold I am disabled many multiple injuries in my spine, neck, and bad knees. I left the handicap spot open to others cuz I could see multiple old couples struggling to get from their very far parked car up the door 2. No salt on pavement. Fell flat on my back walking out door 2. 1 Handicap space Multiple elderly struggling to walk thru the parking lot with so much ice built up. Multiple spots along the building blocked for snow mobiles. Not for disabled parking WiFi was

I would have gave them 5 stars, but the only problem was at check in. My wife is recovering from a broken ankle and I asked to have a room near to the lobby since that is where the pool and breakfast areas are located at. The front desk lady said since we booked the room from a third party (TripAdvisor) reservation - they couldn’t help us. (Great customer service). You can see on the map of the hotel where we were at and the had to go up and down three flights of steps to get to our room. Plus you have to bring your continental breakfast to the room to eat it, because they don’t have tables in the lobby area to eat at, however they do have 2 meeting rooms are right next to the area not beginning used at the time. The pool & hot tub area was great, but the pool was cold.

We had nice room with view on lake. Very nice it was close to snowmobiling trails. For relax you can use a small indoor pool.

The Pointe Hotel is in a great location that looks over the water. Every hotel room looks over the water as all rooms are on one side of the building. Rooms are very backwoods themed with a cozy feel. The suites have a nice kitchen if you want to cook a meal yourself instead of going out. The location is also within walking distance to downtown. Service was awesome as well!
